Pip is fifteen centimetres from the top of her knitted bear-ear hat to the soles of her feet, and she weighs 130 grams — about the same as a small apple. She sits in a closed hand with room to spare. What separates her from most dolls this size is what she is made of: one piece of solid silicone rather than a hollow shell or a jointed vinyl body, which means she has no seams to split, no stuffing to compress, and nothing inside her that water can reach. When she gets grubby, she goes under the tap. Her blue eyes are open and set forward, her mouth is closed, and her head is bald the way a two-week-old’s usually is. Among 6 inch baby dolls, she is the one built to be handled rather than shelved.

The Casting Marks, Explained Before You Ask
There is a small vent mark on the crown of her head and two faint lines running down the sides of her body. Neither is a defect. Solid silicone is poured into a closed two-part mould and has to be vented at the highest point, which leaves a mark exactly where you see it, and the seam where the two halves meet leaves a line no matter how well the mould is finished. Hollow vinyl dolls avoid both because they are made a completely different way — and they also cannot be submerged. Every solid silicone doll on the market carries these marks; the only question is whether the seller mentions them beforehand.
Why Washable Changes How She Gets Used
A cloth-bodied or hollow doll has to be spot-cleaned carefully and kept away from water for the rest of its life. Pip does not. Rinse her under a tap, wipe her down, and dust her with a little talc if the surface starts to feel tacky — that tackiness is normal in silicone and the powder resets it. She can go in a basin of water, which is what makes her the right size to keep in a bathroom shelf display or to hand to someone who wants to hold something rather than look at something. If you want the same quality at a larger scale, Elsie at 20 inch is the full-size counterpart.
What 130 Grams Actually Feels Like
The weight is the part that surprises people. Solid silicone is dense, so a doll that looks like it should be feather-light instead has a small, settled heft — she stays where you put her, she does not tip when seated, and holding her registers as holding something rather than nothing. That density is also why she survives being carried in a coat pocket or a bag, which very few sculpts at this size will do. The knitted sweater and bear-ear hat come with her; more in the clothing range fits this size band.
Where She Sits in the Collection
She joins the smallest end of the range, alongside Bea and Potato — three sculpts now, which finally makes the 6 inch collection something you can compare rather than something you take or leave. Bea is the quiet one with the softer paint; Potato smiles; Pip is the chubbiest of the three and the only one you can put under a tap. All three sit within the same full silicone line. For anyone starting out, small is the sensible place to begin — and among 6 inch baby dolls, the washable one is the least precious to live with.
